The Faculty of Education - Janzour has a message of preparing the pre-university education teachers, developing professional and academical staff as per the recognized standards of educational process, and preparing new cadres capable of following the global movement. It works on meeting the needs of the labor market at the local and regional level with full support of administrators, faculty members, collaborators, and with a balanced and effective partnership with other educational institutions. This is to form an educated society governed by horizontal relationships, with a unified vision, and a clear message embodies the concept of the Faculty.
Objectives
The College of Education looks forward to achieving its goals by following the updated academic learning strategies by which the educated student is created who is able to comprehend, search and study, to improve his / her capabilities, developing his / her abilities & talents in his / her major. His/ her patency to all knowledge branches linked to his / her major. To be acquired with dexterity, updated scientific education due to provide experts in society to contribute in both planning & development.
• The college aims particularly to:
1. Providing the students with bases of technical, educational and scientific knowledge, scientific thinking to work in teaching field of kindergarten and the disabled to primary education, elementary education that suits the needs and requirements of society.
2. Preparing specialized educated cadres according to appropriate curricula to carry the education message.
3. Developing the students’ abilities to communicate with the updated technologies, acquiring improving new related issues due to qualify them to work in professional educational field.
4. Preparing students properly to be able to continue their higher studies and scientific research in the education colleges, educational sciences and their different majors.
5. Meeting the local society needs of qualified teachers due to accomplish self- sufficiency.
6. Acquiring students with necessary planning skills, implementation, and correction in public education.
7. Developing positive trends for the students learning profession.

Tasks
Dean of the College
The Dean of the Faculty undertakes direct supervision of the workflow of the Faculty in terms of handing internal and external affairs, managing scientific, financial and administrative issues within the limits of the policy drawn up by the university administration and the Faculty Council in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations in force. In particular, the Dean has the following duties:
1) Supervising and implementing the Faculty’s educational plan.
2) Supervising the heads of academic departments, presenting the decisions of the councils of these departments to the Faculty council and following up the implementation of what is decided in their regard.
3) Coordinating between the technical and administrative bodies and individuals.
4) Presenting suggestions regarding the Faculty’s needs in terms of faculty members, technicians, administrators, facilities, equipment, etc.
Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs of the Faculty has the following duties:
1) Supervising and following-up departments and offices of an academic nature under the supervision of the Dean of the College, and in particular:
- Department of Quality and Performance Evaluation.
- Faculty Members Office
- Department of Study and Examinations
- Community and Environmental Service Unit
- Department of General Subjects
- The Scientific Research Department
Tasks of administrative and financial affairs
In accordance with Resolution (22) of 2008 regarding the organizational structure of universities and higher education institutions, the tasks of administrative and financial affairs were defined in Article 46.
The Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs is affiliated with:

Tasks of the Head of the Scientific Department:
Supervising the scientific and administrative affairs in the department within the limits of the policy drawn up by the college and the department council and in accordance with the provisions of the laws, regulations and decisions in force.
